LOCATION: Shiprock Santa Fe, 53 Old Santa Fe Rail (Northeast Corner of Santa Fe Plaza)
TIME: 7:30 – 9:00 pm

On exhibit every evening May 8th through June 15th on the face of the historic Catron Block Building, “Almas de la Plaza Santa Fe” is a temporary video installation exploring some 400 years of Santa Fe history through acted narratives, oral histories and personal accounts.

Working with an assembled team of multimedia production students from IAIA, Highlands University and College of Santa Fe, Robert Drummond Studio initiated this piece in December of 2009. Local actors and storytellers have brought the work to life with their talents. Casting by Sheryl Roberts.

This installation was made possible by the New Mexico Film Office, New Visions “Experimental” Award, funding from the Judith Mc Bean Foundation and the generous support of the City of Santa Fe Mayor’s Office, Santa Fe City Land Use Director, Constituent Services Manager, Shiprock Santa Fe & Mcclaugherty & Silver PC.

Bike Bloc Sound Swarm at COP 15

On December 16, 2010, during the Climate Summit in Copenhagen, a march and direct-action event called Reclaim Power attempted to enter the summit area and present alternative solutions that prioritize a sustainable biosphere over  economics. The Bike Bloc was a technique that involved hundreds of bikes broken into smaller swarms, each swarm with it’s own tactics and sector of approach to the site of the conference (the Bella Center). The Sound Swarm included about a dozen people and five loudspeaker enabled bikes playing sounds composed by Filastine, with additional submissions from artists worldwide. This video was created to document the preparation, day of action, and eventual arrest of participants.
